Mission Statement
Light Christian Center is a person-centered church of "People Touching People" where the hurting, depressed, frustrated and confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement. We strive to reach every ethnic group, seeking to enrich individuals' lives through preaching, teaching and living the uncompromising Word of God. Our desire is to help people succeed in reaching their God-given purpose for life now and throughout eternity by means of worship, ministry, evangelism, fellowship and discipleship.

ARTICLES OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE:
ARTICLE I
In the divine, verbal inspiration of the Old and New Testaments and believe them to be the very Word of God. 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 1 Thes. 2:13; 1 Cor.2:12-13; Ex.32:16, 34:27

ARTICLE II
In the triune Godhead: God the Father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit; three distinct personalities , constituting the one God. Gen 1:26; 3:22; Matt. 3:16,17

ARTICLE III
That Christ was conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. Lk. 1:26-28, 35; Matt. 1:18

ARTICLE IV
In the death, burial, resurrection, ascension and personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Matt. 27:50-28:8; Mk 16:19-20; Lk. 24:50-53; Acts 1:9-12; I Thes. 4:16-18

ARTICLE V
In the pre-millennial coming of Christ and His reign of one thousand years over earth. 1 Thes. 4:16-18; Rev. 19:11, Rev. 20:2

ARTICLE VI
That every born-again person is in the Body of Christ and that only through the redemptive blood of the Lord Jesus Christ can we be saved, by grace through faith. Eph. 2:8-10; Rom. 8:1; 2 Cor. 5:17, Gal. 6:15

ARTICLE VII
In the infilling of the Holy Spirit, subsequent to salvation, with the divine evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance, as recorded in Acts 2:4. Eph. 5:18

ARTICLE VIII
In the nine gifts of the Spirit and that they should be in operation in the church today, as recorded in I Corinthians 12.

ARTICLE IX
In divine healing for the body through the atonement. Isa. 53:55; 1 Pt 2:24

ARTICLE X
In the eternal redemption and the two natures of the believer. Heb. 9:12, Rom. 6:6; Eph. 4:17-29; Col. 3:3-4; 2 Pt. 1:4

ARTICLE XI
That to win Christ as our Bridegroom, it is necessary to live a practical, sanctified and consecrated life to God. Ps. 45:10-17; rev. 19:7-8

ARTICLE XII
In the ordinance of baptism, by immersion, for those who have believed unto salvation. "baptizo" = to dip, immerse. Rom. 6:3-4

ARTICLE XIII
In the ordinance of Communion for those who are in fellowship with the Lord. Matt. 26:17-30; Mk. 14:22-24; Lk. 22:19-20; I Cor. 10:16-17; I Cor. 11:20-24.

ARTICLE XIV
In being subject to the laws of our government and those in authority, unless such would interfere with freedom in our worship. We also believe in the defense of our nation with the privilege of choosing no-combat service, if called to defend our country. Rom. 13:1-7; Titus 3:1; Acts 5:29; Ps. 144:1; Ps 18:33,34.
